Pirate Queens always holla for that bling. Everyone knows this

Yeah I remember that. You were forced to be the “villain” so you had to make sure that everyone knew how baller you were so you can be above it all, as a way of protection.
God so much has changed from the past year of reading this comic.

See outside the initial “tries to kill everyone I see” thing, Meenah is a very good motivator.

Sometimes you just got to say “fuck it” and activate the bomb to blow people up.

This is reminding me of this one Spiderman/Deadpool comic panel I saw, where Spiderman says “You’re not a good person, you just want everyone to think you’re one” (something like that) And that, sort of hits the nail on the head here, doesn’t it?

Wow, you think that Aranea would take offense to that, learning that no matter how much she wants to distance herself from her past she is still the same?

Ha-Tuna Matata. That’s Meenah’s Motto.

You guys are having some girl talk here. So girl you better talk.

Look sometimes I’m Vriska, who looks back on my past actions and just wonder if I can ever change and be better than who I used to be.
And sometimes I’m Meenah who in all honestly really doesn’t give a shit.

Self-Improvement is like Andy Dufresne: You have to walk through a river of shit to come out clean on the other side.

And here we are, back to the Legacy theme Vriska has. Outside the cycle of revenge, can Vriska also break the cycle of family lineage? That’s the question.

I mean…maybe? You think that Vriska started to really think about her actions with the pirate thing before Aranea went off the map? Because in Vriska’s perspective: John called her dangerous, John touched the “ultimate prize” and disappeared forever (something that Vriska led him to), and Aranea going all Pirate Larping.

The first step to change is acknowledgement. By understanding and trying to change herself, she is going to break the cycle. I have faith in that.

Meenah is there just as a soundboard and she understands this, and I approve of Meenah’s role here.

Vriska doesn’t like this because it reminds her too much of what she used to do and she is just cringing at her past self.
I mean, relatable (to an extent)

I know…and I want to know mooooore.
Give me that R-rated pirate smut!

Hey…so what is the age of adulthood for trolls? Because every one sweep is 2 years, and we know that the Alpha-Gang were 18 when they died. So when is Troll Maturity?

Again, I am glad to see that Vriska has matured and changed over the course of the comic. But Again, I am sad that she had to die for her to realize this.

Vriska isn’t exactly capturing my feelings on why Aranea trying to be like MindFang is bad….but it is closer than what I could have come up with.

We need to appreciate now that Vriska has grown enough to, while respect her Ancestor MindFang, no longer wants to Be her. Viska may still be inspired by her, but she is going to forge her own pirate legacy!
