I can see that because that means he can also master the polite backhand southerners know. Like “bless your little heart.” I mean, Dave can just flat out call you an asshole, but it is nice to know he has knowledge of some subtle snark to him too.

I don’t mind the morality themes. I think they are fasination and I love how most of them come from the ghosts, like Forge&Spender, Lucifer&Hijack, with some smaller debates between the humans like Isabel&Isaac. They may seem long, but Morrison does know how to utilize them well to progress the plot.

Start of Chapter 5: “Holy Shit Hijack is fucking insane and evil”

Middle of Chapter 5: “holy shit Hijack is just a big dumb dorky baby”

End of Chapter 5: “holy shit Hijack just died noooo”

That sounds about right.

I havent actually thought about accents. I guess I see Rose with an upper class Posh New York Accent. Um, John I can see with a Virginian Accent, like the McElroys if that makes sense. And Jade, I actually imagine her to be a higher pitch version of my sister’s voice, who everyone says she has an accent but she doesn’t.

Now, I can say that these are accents for the kids in hindsight, but know that I am terrible at accents. I thought a Minnesotan accent was Irish. So if that makes sense, take what you will.

Hmmm, both with demons inside of them/associated with demons and are being controlled by outside entities? Yeah, way too similar to be a coincedence

Absolutely he is. Taking the river to class, threatening/bribing children, painting Bob Ross while not really giving a shit? He probably goes on night walks and people think he’s bigfoot.

ok, rereading it….it isn’t him. I thought it was Harley because of the whole “pee drinking” thing since I know that is a maybe thing that survivalists do, and he is an explorer.

But it isn’t him, and that makes it sadder.

Because this is just a normal regular man who was managed to survive the meteor impact, only to struggle through monsters and an apocalyptic setting before dying.

At least his dying moments were in comfort with a story being told to him.
