You kidding? This is great blackmail. Read them all.

You kidding? This is great blackmail. Read them all.

Look at that. All the tools in nice and neat order. Gil is definitely trying to impress here.
What’s your game cowboy?

Look that is the best way to get an assistant. That way, Gil knew ardsley wanted to work for him and not for his fame/wealth.
Plus that has to be pretty funny.

I love these dumb signs. “get bigger tub”

oh….Then Agatha is better. HA!

At least Mesh can treat the constructs like they are people, because he is a decent human being.

Looks like Mesh is taking on Agatha as his “assistant” so she won’t be thrown off the ship.

So much for seeing the forces of good/evil fighting. Time for some actual science.

Sorry Baron, I can’t take the seriousness of the situation seriously with you acting like a bad guy that is about to see the hero’s dramatic reveal.

He did. Which is why Baron is pissed. Because when did Mesh make Time Travel?

This makes me happy. They are looking specifically for Moloch’s friends (who looks like god a hella wardrobe change. And I guess Agatha just rules an empire now, with Mesh sarcastically calling her “mistress” like the warrior lady.

Alright, this explains a lot.
Agatha escapes with Mesh and Moloch. They get some boss ass clothes change (looking at your roman outfit there Mesh), pick up a…..warrior-lady? Who I guess respects Agatha now.
And it was Agatha that set this story in motion, with the portal appearing before her to lead her to Moloch in the first place.
And they are using the portals so Moloch can see that his friends/crew made it.
This panel means a lot to me. Especially with Mesh’s first instinct is to insult Bangladesh when he sees her again.

No, that wasn’t weird. You are just being haunted by the people that you killed.

So you’re going over that incident with Moloch? Wasn’t that months ago? I mean, I get that steampunk era might not have a decent mail service, but it should have happened a bit soon you think?

Now I remember. She’s the crazy lady from Moloch’s story. Yeah, this fits.

Nothing important. He’s not in the mood for science any more.

I love how each interruption causes him to go more and more violent with his dissection of Othar. Eventually he is going to use his bare hands by the time this is over.

Hey, forget my poetic romanticizing bullshit on the last panel. Baron is an evil complex man who only cares for the students for his own shit.
And Othar, if my poetic bs doesn’t count, yours doesn’t either.

The thing with Baron is that he does evil things (no fucking question) but he is also that of a king who has to deal with wards, citizens, armies, and other such politics. Regardless if he cares for the well-being of the students to use politically later on or not, he does want to make sure that they are well cared for and not afraid of him.
Basically, he is a complex man prone to evil deeds.

Do not argue with the man that can put you on the science slab.
