Best way to sum up the situation…..how do you feel sudo-mom&dad? Want your kid to marry a supervillain?

Look, we can talk about Othar returning like the world’s worse heroic leech, but I want to discuss Gil’s face there. Actually all of them.

1st face: you can’t see his eyes, hair covering his face. He doesn’t know whether Agatha likes him now. But he is still trying to focus on survival here.

2nd face: he is pissed. So pissed about what Agatha said. About being so callous to study her, about being like his dad, about his dad studying her, all of the above. But the best part is that his angry face makes him look exactly like his dad, the people that Agatha also doesn’t like to be around.

3rd Face: He decides to fuck it! He is so done with what Agatha said, but none of that matters! They are in danger! They can be killed or worse! He doesn’t care about Agatha feels as long as they are safe!

Which doesn’t matter because Othar just decked him again since he has an invisible jet-pack up his ass.

But I am just in love with all of the emotions that come off of Gil in these panels.

Gil is trying to respect your autonomy, but he also understands the bigger picture and that you don’t know everything going on.

I am going to enjoy Othar. Not because he is sane. But because he is going to view this as Gil kidnapping his ‘sidekick’ much to the exasperation of everyone around him.

And Gil swoops in with a swashbuckler as Othar reaches into his inner Igor.

And thus we realize why Gil hates him. He is just some random guy who lost his mind and thinks he is the real Othar.

Is Othar just an idiot or does he literally view the world as a Hero?

Don’t you just hate the moment when you realize you fell in love with a villain’s son?

Gil….Gil you poor poor Dumbass. You have great positivity, but…..that’s one way to propose to someone.
