Yo let the spirits alone, they were having fun.

ok, now they really aren’t hiding the anime references anymore, or at least eastern references.

There is a concept of Red Oni vs Blue Oni, where the red oni is the more aggressive and passionate one, and the blue oni is the calm and intelligent one (among other things).

They can be used for something like rival characters, or even odd-couple styled friends.

And their animal counterparts are the tiger and dragon.

What are the odds.

So I have now decided to take a moment to compare 2 very local Anime boys: Cody and Isaac

Let’s start with Isaac. We know that he is trying to fight for some justice, and tries to do the right thing. That is his focus. He enjoys helping people, thinks sensible, has a flair for the dramatics, and is probably one of the more approachable out of the core Activities Club group.

But he is also on edge with his friends for, from what Isabel said, the guilt he did to one of the members. Felt shunned and rejected by the information denied to him by his own mentor/teacher. Has a ton of Anger and is constantly prompted by his own spirit to give into said anger to become a wrathful god of justice, something he is heavily against. And has gotten to the point where he felt that the only way to try and get a friendship is through giving and expecting favors.

Then we have Cody.

He is constantly supportive of his friends in class. Helped Max out in escaping Johnny even though he knew him for only one hour. Makes sure everyone is happy and ok. Is supportive of his friends, even if they did something batshit like nuke a ball and had almost murder.

There is a reason I called Cody “Isaac’s better form.” Cody is literally all of the positive traits that Isaac wants. He is popular, he is positive, people go to him for advice/help.

Hell, even their appearance is similar. They both have the same eyes and anime styled hair, with Isaac’s pointing up and Cody’s pointing down.

I’m just saying, for Isaac being pushed into the loner zone, seeing a counterpart like Cody thriving could lead to some interesting scenarios.

Again, I would like to point out that Cody is basically Isaac’s cooler form

Stephen is still an integral part of their teamwork.

While I am glad you are smug Max, your goal is to get Jeff out

Johnny is a truly terrifying when he enter anime-monster mode.

holy shit, he is saying that if Jeff goes off those three can just bum-rush the kid until they get help. I love Dimitri’s line of thinking.

I had some hope that Johnny would have the same thought of “end the game” but that is way too much wishful thinking

This is genius thinking Dimitri, he is going to be a great agent someday.

So other kids also thought the same thing. Good.

look at her go! Isabel is a great strategist here, keeping her head cool while in danger, as well as thinking of how to make sure there are no more casualties.

I sort of hope that ALL of the kids do this. Like, they ALL mutually agree to not give Jeff a ball
